Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using BidScout at bidscoutapp.com you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree do not use BidScout.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use BidScout. By using BidScout you confirm that you are 18 or older.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@bidscoutapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscription Tiers

BidScout offers three membership tiers:

  • The Apprentice — free with no credit card required
  • The Archivist — paid monthly or annual subscription
  • The Antiquarian — paid monthly or annual subscription

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may upgrade or downgrade your tier at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use BidScout for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute auction data obtained through BidScout
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with BidScout's systems
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use BidScout to harass or harm other users

6. Valuations and Appraisals

BidScout's AI powered valuations are estimates based on comparable sales data and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, or professional appraisal advice. BidScout makes no guarantees about the accuracy of valuations. Always conduct your own due diligence before making purchasing decisions.

7. Third Party Platforms

BidScout displays data from third party auction houses and marketplaces including eBay and others. We are not responsible for the accuracy of third party listing data, the outcome of any auction, or any transaction you enter into on a third party platform. All purchases are made directly with the relevant platform and are subject to their terms.

8. Intellectual Property

BidScout and its content including the owl logo, design system, and app features are owned by BidScout LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of BidScout without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

BidScout is provided as is without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service or that all auction data will be complete or accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law BidScout and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app including any purchasing decisions made based on BidScout valuations or data.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of BidScout after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
